Straight to the apartments

What happens when an international star architect creates a residential space a stone’s throw from the centre of a major capital?

The city in the heart of Europe. The world’s most liveable city. Located right next to the historic city centre. In a flourishing part of town. Surrounded by parkland, but connected to the rest of the world.

When unique recreational spaces close to the city centre meet built-up areas, it goes without saying that developers cannot build whatever they feel like. Only something truly special makes the grade. Created by a world-class star architect: Renzo Piano Building Workshop. An architect who knows all about creating spaces that embody individuality.

in the Quartier

The suffix “am Belvedere” references the prime location of the PARKAPARTMENTS AM BELVEDERE from the outset: the apartments are being built right next to the Belvedere Palace with its extensive baroque formal gardens, in the heart of the Quartier Belvedere – a new, up-and-coming district, full of greenery yet urban.

A few minutes from the heart of the historic old town, the location of the Quartier Belvedere is truly unique – next to a park, yet in the middle of the city. A magnet for shoppers, the Goldenes Quartier is just a short distance away, just like Vienna’s fabled traditional coffeehouses. And all easy to reach by car, bicycle and public transport.

Recreation and

The Schweizergarten, Schlossgarten Belvedere and the Botanical Gardens are among the oldest parks in Vienna. The green spaces on the doorstep of the Parkapartments are perfect for sports and enjoying a quiet stroll. Laid out in the formal English style, these oases of peace and quiet feature large ponds, beds set with Alpine flowers, exotic trees and a rose garden punctuated by fountains. The Schweizergar- ten is also home to a family outdoor swimming pool and the Arsenal area next to it houses numerous tennis courts and the Museum of Military History.

at every level

The word Belvedere translates as “beautiful view”. The panoramas are accentuated by floor-to-ceiling windows that also flood the apartments with oceans of natural light. Spacious terraces and large balconies ensure that residents can enjoy the vistas in full.

But the view is just one of many highlights. An electric shading system ensures pleasant temperatures in spite of the extensive window space. The system is supplemented by underfloor heating and a state-of-the-art cooling ceiling. Residents can regulate the temperature inside the apartment from the comfort of their sofa or even while on the move: Selection Parkapartments are equipped with a contemporary smart home system. Blinds, heating and electrical appliances can be managed from anywhere using an app. Welcome to the next generation of smart living!

Renzo Piano

Architecture with an affinity for comfort

Renzo Piano is one of the world’s most famous architects. The Italian star architect and Pritzker Prize winner is a master of civil engineering.

London, Paris, New York – landmarks all over the world bear his unique signature. Renzo Piano and his team have created a host of exceptional buildings, museums and exhibition venues, as well as remodelling numerous public spaces. Highlights include Europe’s tallest skyscraper, The Shard in London, the New York Times Building, the revolutionary Pompidou Centre and the Potsdamer Platz redesign.

Access to and knowledge of a diverse range of materials is an enduring theme in Piano’s buildings, which are always geared towards conditions at the location and the function and significance of the property.

Also Renzo Piano’s first project in Austria – the PARKAPARTMENTS AM BELVEDERE with their elevated towers – are inspired by the location: the columns take their cue from the trees in this leafy neighbourhood, while the Schweizergarten and the Schlosspark Belvedere are mirrored in the struts. The buildings are elevated several metres above street level, overlooking these optical reference points and creating fantastic views of the city.

Piano’s approach is hard to pin down, as he works with many different styles and materials, but functionality is always the centre of his attention. And at the PARKAPARTMENTS AM BELVEDERE the focus is on enjoying life.

„Architecture is a bridge between earth and sky“

Khao Ta-Pu – the James Bond cliff – was Renzo Piano’s chief source of inspiration for the impressive residential towers. Similarly to Phang Nga Bay, the neighbouring greenery has a key role to play at the PARKAPARTMENTS AM BELVEDERE.
Piano’s projects are world-famous and no two are alike: the Pompidou Centre in Paris and The Shard in London illustrate this perfectly.
