Architect Renzo Piano loves to build in unconventional ways. His spectacular design for PARKAPARTMENTS AM BELVEDERE features concrete stilts that elevate the building’s towers to between 12 and 18 metres above street level, and afford residents fantastic views over the treetops of the surrounding green spaces. The 2-6 room apartments in the three residential towers – over 60 different layouts starting at 46m² – cater to every need: each property has its own balcony, loggia or terrace, and intelligent floor plans ensure optimal use of living space.
On-site work on the building shells for the concrete towers is progressing very much in keeping with their out-of-the-ordinary architecture. Formwork specialists Hünnebeck have supplied several million euros’ worth of materials and expertly planned the work to factor in the large-scale project’s demanding safety requirements. “The Parkapartments and Hotel Andaz Am Belvedere site is currently our largest project, as well as being a challenge from a technical perspective – especially given the irregular floor plans, which can be complex to implement,” explained a member of the Hünnebeck supervising team.
