The Hauptbahnhof main railway station in Vienna has just been voted the nation’s best for the second time in a row by Austrian rail travellers. According to this year’s VCÖ Bahntest report, it saw off the main stations in St. Pölten and Salzburg which took second and third spots.
Vienna’s new Hauptbahnhof, one of the capital’s most important public transport hubs, is just a two-minute walk away from Parkapartments am Belvedere. The Austrian National Railway’s local and long distance routes connect the Parkapartments to the wider Austrian and European rail networks. What’s more, Vienna International Airport can be reached directly in less than 30 minutes. Parkapartments am Belvedere also has outstanding links to the local public transport network: The city centre (Stephansplatz) is just five minutes away from the Hauptbahnhof on the U1 underground line, with direct connections to virtually all parts of the city’s extensive underground network via the interchange at Karlsplatz. The S-Bahn suburban rail, tram and bus routes at Hauptbahnhof add to the optimal public transport links ensuring fast and simple access to destinations all over the city and the surrounding area.
Also, just a 2-3 minute walk from the new Hauptbahnhof main station, Parkapartments am Belvedere’s location also means that it is right next door to a major mall with a wide range of stores and other amenities – with extended opening hours, and some shops also open on Sundays and public holidays. With more than 80 stores to choose from in a single location, running day-to-day errands could not be simpler, and the freshly redeveloped district taking shape around the station with countless offices and other apartments means that the restaurant scene is growing all the time.
